Abstract
Artificial Intelligence has existed for many years, but has only been present for a few. As we could observe in the early 2000’s, it is beneficial to outsource your own IT infrastructure. From a cloud provider’s perspective, this business model offers almost infinite opportunities, but also challenges. Whereas administrative tasks could be performed manually, reliable automation is now required. Today is the turning point in this development. Currently, a general overhaul of IT operations is needed. Staff must be able to detect and eliminate impending errors at an early stage. The necessary analysis and conclusions based on the operations data of a cloud platform cannot be done by humans. Thus Artificial Intelligence for IT-Operations is required, AIOps for short.
